open-air food market one more time before it closes for the year! If you haven’t already been, it’s free to enter and runs every Saturday (in Williamsburg) and Sunday (in Prospect Park) until October 27th! Although I was a little disappointed by the lack of halal food (there was one kebab stall called Kotti which was pretty good!), I still really enjoyed trying out the variety of desserts, sea-food and drinks on offer! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My top tips:
1) Be prepared to spend a bit of $$$ if you’re there for a few hours! Each item ranged from $7 (for a dessert) to $12-15 (for a main food item).
2) Bring cash. Some of the stalls accept card, and there’s an ATM machine with a $2.50 fee, but take cash just incase!
3) Bring a bottle of water (cos ain’t nobody wanna buy water when you’re at a food market) & an umbrella (when I went it was boiling hot, but after yesterday’s rainstorm, I think an umbrella is more appropriate!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have any of y’all been?? What was the best thing you tried?? I need to know what to get next time! #smorgasburg #smorgasburgbrooklyn #foodie
